Thursday 1st August

Arrive at The Burlington Hotel on either the fast train from St. Pancras or slower train from Charing Cross
Leave bags in the hotel foyer as you can only get access to your room after 15.00
12.30 Meet in the foyer for a local stroll around Folkestone, before lunch together in the oldest pub in Folkestone - an historic building (included)
17.30 ish Return to hotel, unpack and relax.
19.00 Drinks/light supper in local historic bar

Friday 2nd August - The Marshes, Dymchurch, wild coastline...
10.00 Meet in the foyer for departure to St. Mary’s Bay on the wild Marshes…steeped in history!
The bus stop is a couple of minutes from the hotel.
Lunch out in a famous fish and chips restaurant on the pebbles…
Stroll through the dunes
17.00 Bus back to hotel
Supper in the hotel
Games in the evening

Saturday 3rd August - Sea and canal walk…plus an ossuary!
10.30 Walk to Sandgate and bus to Hythe…..
Learn all about the local history
Walk along the canal
Lunch on the beach
Visit the Ossuary, one of only 2 in the UK
16.30 Bus back to Folkestone
17.00 Get back to the hotel in time to change…
18.00 Concert in the famous Grand Hotel (included)

Sunday 4th August - Castles and gardens on the sea
10.00 Train to Deal
Walk from Deal to Walmer along the sea visiting both castles and garden
Supper in the hotel together
Games in the evening

Monday 5th
Leave whenever suits you
Check out is 11.00 but you can leave your bags in the hotel and enjoy another day by the sea - (remember your swimwear)!
11.00 Folkestone and White Cliffs day out with Dee…history and culture
