What better walk at Christmas than Mr Dickens himself?

Dickens is everywhere in London! He lived in several places, went to several places and his stories include several places in the capital....and none more so than in the City and its surrounds . Here we will mix a Yuletide story or two, meet a variety of his characters and see what's left of the prison his father served time in, whilst wandering round some of the most beautiful and atmospheric streets in London.

We will slide down an alleyway and take a look at one of his favourite drinking holes, meet the body-snatcher who had a respectable job in the daytime and learn about the life he hated and almost entered into before turning his hand to writing.

Please note that at traffic lights i will always wait for the green man signal- if there is one -and that at other crossings and on the streets generally attendees need to be vigilant.
