Come all you intrepid travellers and let us embark on a bespoke discovery tour adventure exploring this unique long, thin country, which lies at the southern end of the World.
Few places on earth can provide such a varied and diverse travel experience. Chile is a natural wonder, set between the majestic peaks of the Andes Mountains and the rugged coastline of the Pacific Ocean. It is a land of extreme beauty and startling contrasts, which in the north includes the driest desert in the world, the Atacama, to the agriculturally-rich Central Valley, and the wild, windswept glaciers and fjords of Patagonia in the south.
This private, small group tour has been organised especially for us by our affiliate tour operator ‘Windows on the Wild’ and includes all flights (both international & domestic) and all tours and excursions - please read the itinerary below if you feel tempted to come along ……
Departure Monday 4th November
Fly London to Santiago de Chile (LATAM via Sao Paulo)
Depart LHR: 20.15 Arrive Santiago de Chile: 11.05 (Tues 5th Nov)
Day 1 - Tuesday 5th November
Transfer from the airport to the hotel in Santiago.
Embark on a city tour of Santiago, which one of South America’s most exciting cities.
Day 2 - Wednesday 6th November
Full day excursion to Valparaíso including a visit to a vineyard in the Casablanca Valley.
Day 3 - Thursday 7th November
Transfer from our hotel to Santiago airport.
Flight - Santiago to Calama (2 hours)
Transfer from Calama airport to the hotel in San Pedro
Day 4 - Friday 8th November
Morning excursion to Quitor Fortress (Pukará de Quitor) which follows in the footsteps of the ancient Atacameños and Incas.
Afternoon - excursion to Moon Valley (Valle de la Luna). The setting sun bathes the landscape in a light that changes with every minute, providing a mesmerising play of colours. The return drive to San Pedro is after sunset.
Day 5 - Saturday 9th November
Full day excursion to the Geysers of El Tatio
Day 6 - Sunday 10th November
Transfer from our hotel in San Pedro to the airport in Calama.
Early flight to Santiago (2 hours) – connecting flight to Puerto Natales (4 hours). Transfer from Puerto Natales airport to the hotel in Puerto Natales
Day 7 - Monday 11th November
Full day minibus excursion to Torres del Paine National Park
Continue to our hotel situated in the park.
Day 8 - Tuesday 12th November
Morning boat excursion on Lake Grey. Afternoon in the national park with many options to enjoy the mountains and lakes.
Day 9 - Wednesday 13th November
Transfer from Torres del Paine National Park to Punta Arenas (approx. 5 hours). A short city tour of Punta Arenas, capital of the Magellan region.
Day 10 - Thursday 14th November
Transfer from the hotel in Punta Arenas to the airport in Punta Arenas
Flight to Santiago (4 hours) with connecting flight Santiago to LHR
Day 11 - Friday 15th November
Arrival at London Heathrow at 18.05
