We will taste Swiss chocolate, enjoy Alsatian cuisine, famous Tarte Flambee, try the wines of Alsace.

Basel has a Mediterranean climate and as many as 300 days of sunshine a year. The city truly comes into its own during this season with festivals, street parties, open-air concerts and open-air cinema.

Colmar is just 45 min by train from Basel, a complete fairytale and it’s said it provided inspiration for Beauty and the Beast. Who would doubt that. Beneath the pretty exterior lies a town of much history and culture, with an impressive culinary scene and viticulture. We will end up in Le Petite Venise and learn more about Bartholdi, a French sculptor who was commissioned by the French government to design the Statue of Liberty.
